Born in Nairobi, 28th February 1976, Wilson attended Nyandarua School for the deaf (1988 –95) and Rev. Muhoho Secondary School for the deaf (1996 – 99). .
Wilson Mwangi has no Art college education, but was inspired and taught as a young man by his father who later fully supported him in choosing Art as a career. Wilson attended various workshops at the GoDown Arts Centre and National Museum, Nairobi.

Wilson’s works have been available at Ramoma Gallery (2002 – 09) and were exhibited at the National Museum of Kenya (2001 – 2004),at Village Market (2007 – 08) and Le Rustique Restaurant in Nairobi, but also in Kampala, Uganda at Tulifanya Art Gallery (2003 – 09), AKA Gallery in Kampala, Uganda at Tulifanya House (2011 – 15) that in turn showed Mwangi’s works in Germany , Australia and Canada.
